The construction of a Crafts Alley is planned

With 28 votes in favour, the municipal councillors approved a general scheme of zone "K" (Coastal) in Ruse and specific rules for its application.
It is planned to place a kiosk for a tourist information center and a kind of Crafts Alley, consisting of 6 kiosks for the sale of souvenirs and handicrafts made by Ruse craftsmen. The idea is to stimulate local artists and merchants and tourists, incl. those arriving by cruise ship to have the opportunity to purchase goods from them. A small kiosk selling small packaged goods will be part of the alley.
An express prohibition has been imposed on outdoor food preparation and grilling in the area.
Under the pedestrian overpass (the so-called Deep Road) will be located 2 decking platforms, on which will be placed 2 kiosks - for fresh and small packaged products, and for souvenirs.

As a preferred place for walking and recreation of Ruse residents, the general scheme also includes 2 kiosks for the sale of drinks, one of which will be near the iconic pedestrian overpass to the pier, known as the Vitiya Bridge, and the other - near the place where the boulevard. "Tsar Ferdinand" flows into the main transport lane of the "Coastal" area.
What and who will sell in the sites will be decided by competitions for rent, not by auctions, explained Mayor Pencho Milkov.
The design of the kiosks and the general scheme of the waterfront area are consistent with the recent rehabilitation and have been approved by the Municipal Expert Council.
