A series of events will mark the 146th anniversary of the Liberation of Ruse

The 146th anniversary of the Liberation of Ruse will be solemnly celebrated on February 20 (Tuesday). From 9 a. m. in the Cathedral "Holy Trinity" the Metropolitan of Ruse Naum, the Glavinitsa Bishop Makarios and priests from the Holy Bishopric of Ruse will serve a thanksgiving prayer in memory of those who died on the memorable date.

At 10:30 am on the square in front of the temple National Society "Tradition" organized a reconstruction of the entry of the Russian troops in Ruse and the welcoming of Gen. Totleben.

At 11:30 a. m. in the Pantheon of National Revival Heroes will be held the solemn ceremony with the participation of the Municipal Wind Orchestra conducted by Dimcho Rubchev. The Mayor Pencho Milkov, the Regional Governor Danail Kovachev and the Director of the Regional Museum of History prof. Nikolay Nenov.

Traditionally, at the end of the ceremony, wreaths and flowers will be laid in memory of the fallen heroes. Those who wish can register in advance by email pr@mayor-ruse. bg.

The ceremony will be attended by the 13th Youth Guard Detachment at the Municipal Youth House, Darina Daskalova - a longtime winner in the Recital Competition "Let There Be Bulgaria", organized by the Municipal Youth House, and the Children's and Girls' Choir "Danube Waves" at the Municipal Children's Center for Culture and Art conducted by Vesela Todorova.

Host of the ceremony will be the actor from the Drama Theater "Sava Ognyanov" Kosio Stanev.
