Children's Choir "Danube Waves" with Grand Prix from International Competition in Romania

Children's Choir "Danube Waves" at the Municipal Children's Centre for Culture and Art was awarded the Grand Prix at the 4th International Competition for Christmas Songs and Religious Music in Bucharest, Romania. Diplomas for excellence were also awarded to the choir conductor Vesela Todorova, as well as Gergana Vicheva for piano accompaniment.

The competition was organised by Festival 4 Arts and was held online, with all the participants' performances published for public voting and judging by a jury.

With a performance of three Christmas songs the choir represented Bulgaria and deservedly took its place among the winners from Romania, Poland, Malta, Croatia and Moldova. "Danube Waves" won its prize in the category "Amateurs", section "Choirs" in the third age group - youth between 13 and 18 years.

The jury was composed of prominent names in the music circles of Romania and other countries. Its chairman was the popular Romanian opera singer and professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest Prof. dr. Silvia Voinea.

In addition to diplomas, this prize includes discounts on the cost of participating in masterclasses and music competitions organised by Festival 4 Arts in 2024, as well as Facebook advertising.
