At the "Nikola Obretenov" Primary School children demonstrated the application of new technologies in the classroom
Today the Deputy Head of the Israeli diplomatic mission in Bulgaria Naama Levi visited Ruse. She talked with Mayor Pencho Milkov and his team and visited the "Nikola Obretenov" Primary School.
The school has been running a "high-tech" class for the past 3 years and the children demonstrated to the dignitaries their abilities to program robots, create web pages, surveys, and hand models of machines.
"I am impressed and I think that the Ruse school should be an example for other schools in Bulgaria. I also appreciate the fact that you are linking the children's tasks to nature conservation," said Naama Levi.
Earlier, together with the mayor, she discussed the possibilities for cooperation and exchange of experience in various fields between the Municipality and the Israeli state. Levy stressed that given climate change, a major focus of public policy in her home country is environmental protection and reducing water loss.
The diplomat also met with the Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev and the Director of the International Festival "March Music Days" Iva Chavdarova. They thanked the Israeli state for the support provided over the years for the realization of the emblematic forum for Ruse.
"My team and I feel welcomed by the Bulgarians," Ms Levy said at the end of her visit and congratulated them for the Bulgarian hospitality and tolerance.
