The management of "Lyuben Karavelov" Primary School – Ruse, represented by the principal Veselka Nikolaeva, donated today BGN 1500. of the Voluntary Formation at the Municipality of Ruse. The funds will be used to purchase backpack fire extinguishers, which will help volunteers in their fight against forest fires.
The donation was accepted by Georgi Ignatov, Director of the Public Order and Security Directorate in the Municipality of Ruse, in the presence of Chief Assist. Inspector Ivelin Dimitrov, head of the municipal voluntary formation, as well as four of its members.
Veselka Nikolaeva also announced that part of the proceeds from the upcoming Christmas market at the school will be directed to help the volunteers. She said with pride that graduates of the school are developing a new website - "Helping Heroes", which will support the detachments in their fight against forest fires.
Georgi Ignatov presented the director of the school with a letter of thanks from Mayor Pencho Milkov for the donation and pointed out that there are similar gestures are of great importance for supplying volunteers with the necessary equipment, especially in cases of forest fires. "Any help is important, because in the fight against fire, the most important thing is a timely response and the availability of appropriate means," said Chief Inspector Svetlana. The volunteers from the formation also met with students from the educational institution, who showed interest in their activities and equipment.

"We know that sometimes even the bravest heroes need help and support. Their forces and resources are not inexhaustible and we would like to help through our charity event to help purchase backpack fire extinguishers for those ordinary people with unusually big hearts, fighting against the fire element - destructive for our native nature and our ecological system," the school said at the time.
