The Dental Medicine Centre 1 - Ruse presented today the new modern 3D scanner purchased from a German company. In the words of the manager of the hospital, Dr. Elena Dacheva, it is the first in Bulgaria with the possibility of high-quality 2D and 3D imaging. The scanner features a reduced radiation dose due to its anatomically adapted volume, and produces three-dimensional visualizations that allow precise diagnosis for more accurate treatment. Its purchase is another step towards the modernization of the Dental Center.
"One of my main goals is to make municipal structures stronger and more empowered by offering quality and modern services. I was looking forward to introducing the new scanner. It will give many more options to dentists as well as citizens. The procurement procedures are a long process and I thank everyone involved in the implementation", said Pencho Milkov.
The presentation was also attended by Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev and the official representative for the Balkan Peninsula of the German company Alina Popa. Encho Enchev said that the new equipment will be beneficial for the dental specialists, who will have the opportunity to provide better services to the people of Ruse.
In the past year, the Centre has also undergone an accreditation procedure as a practical training facility for dentists in the specialties of Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Surgery. "Centre of Dental Medicine 1 - Ruse" is approved for a period of 5 years to take over the practical training of dentists who have declared their desire to specialize in both specialties. In this connection, a contract for training of students and postgraduate students was signed with the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna.
The Center for Dental Medicine becomes the first practical training provider in Northern Bulgaria to partner with one of the country's most established medical universities.
