" With these words, Mayor Pencho Milkov greeted the attendees at the solemn celebration of Hanukkah - one of the holiest holidays in the Jewish calendar. The event took place at the Danube Plaza Hotel and was organized by the Regional Organization of Jews "Shalom" in Ruse.
The mayor, the regional governor Anatoly Stanev and the chairman of "Shalom" - Ruse Panayot Totev lit the first three candles of the ritual candlestick.
