Peter Ivanov will represent Ruse at the European Shooting Championships in Tallinn, Estonia

Ruse will participate in the European Shooting Championships in March in Tallinn, Estonia. Coming from the ranks of the Student Sports School, Peter Ivanov, after a strong performance at the State Championships, Grand Prix Sofia and New Olympic Hopes, won the leading position in the line-up for the championships of the Old Continent.

At the State Championships in Sofia, held from 6 to 9 February, Peter set a new state record in the final of the 10-meter air pistol discipline. A week later from his participation in the international tournament "Grand Prix Sofia" and "New Olympic hopes" organized by the Bulgarian Shooting Union Peter took 2nd and 3rd place and again in the final shot improved for the second time his own state record.

From 22 February, Peter enters a training camp with the national team, where he will prepare for the European Championships.

The discovery of the Student Sports School and the coach Sevdalina Stoyanova Peter started training in shooting when he was in 5th grade. Undisputed medalist in the competitions in the last two years. In 2022, he also received an invitation to the junior national team, where he made his first international starts. From his participation in them he won his first so valuable medals - gold from the tournament in Novi Sad, bronze from his participation in Walther

Youth Cup and bronze again at the Grand Prix Belgrade. Thus, Peter establishes himself among the favourites for the European Championship.
