Popular and rising rock bands on the stage of "Green Rock Fest" in Ruse

This year's edition of the Ruse Green Rock Fest will last two days. The festival will be held on September 10 and 11 at 6 p.m. on Svoboda Square, in front of the Ruse Municipality building.
On the first night, the youth groups "Abstrakt" from Tutrakan, "Imbecile" from Sofia, "Slipstream" from Ruse and "Fizzy Grapes" will perform on stage. A special guest is the legendary group Factor, with whom the concert will end.
The second evening will be opened by the teen band "Grafit" from Silistra, led by the rock musician Ivan Nedelchev.
Both newly created groups will perform within the Green Rock Fest Incubator project, which was supported by the National Culture Fund. The idea is to gather young people from all over Bulgaria and, after selection, to form two rock groups.
At the beginning of May, 12 talents were selected and started work. They were guided by mentors through an online learning platform and had the opportunity to meet famous representatives of the rock genre, who shared their experiences with them. Thus, the groups "Unity" and "Distracted" were created, in which musicians from Ruse, Sofia, Varna, Kyustendil, Novi Pazar and Dupnitsa play. Their debut will be on September 11 on the stage of Green Rock Fest.
The festival will end with a concert by world-renowned guitarist Nikolo Kotsev's band Kikimora, together with star Dougie White, a Scottish rock singer who has appeared in Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force and current vocalist of Alcatraz. The singer will arrive right after the Alcatraz tour.
Green Rock Fest was created in 2009 to give young rock bands a chance to perform in front of a large audience, make new friends and play on the same stage with great musicians.
