Ruse hosted the State Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship

The 2025 State Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship was held in the Ruse Sports Hall "Dunav" on Saturday. The competition, organized by the Bulgarian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Sports Club "Olympia" - Ruse and Sports Club "Triset", with the assistance of the Municipality of Ruse and under the auspices of Mayor Pencho Milkov, brought together the best competitors from the country to compete in the various categories of this dynamically developing sport.
The championship was officially opened by Deputy Mayor Borislav Rachev. In his welcome to the organizers and participants, he emphasized that hosting the forum turns Ruse into a scene of high sporting achievements and contributes to the city being recognizable as an attractive center for active people and national sporting events. "I congratulate the Bulgarian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and the clubs that develop this sport for their high professionalism and dedication. All competitors deserve respect, who with discipline and will achieve personal victories and are an example for young people. I am glad that Ruse is today a center of such strong energy, sportsmanship and friendship. I believe that the championship will leave inspiring memories for participants and the audience," said Rachev. He delivered a congratulatory address on behalf of Mayor Pencho Milkov to the organizers Ivaylo Stoilov and Ivan Todorov.
Nearly 80 competitors from 18 sports clubs from all over the country took part in the championship. The program included finals in the categories of physique, classic bodybuilding, classic physique, bikini, body fitness, wellness, fit model and bodybuilding. The athletes competed in several age groups - youth, women, men and veterans. The competition was extremely competitive, with many of the finals being decided by minimal differences in the judges' scores.
Of the Ruse competitors, Milen Ganev from the “Triset” club took first place in the categories of Classical Physique Pull-Up and Bodybuilding up to 80 kg, and Tihomir Todorov from “Sila” took second place in the category of Bodybuilding Veterans 40-49 Pull-Up.
Dozens of sports fans were present in the “Dunav” hall, who supported the competitors in each category with applause. The atmosphere was saturated with emotion and competitive spirit, and the organizers created conditions for a high-quality championship that met all the standards of the federation.
