A three-day national seminar on "Motivating Children, Parents and Teachers for Better Quality Education" was opened in Europe Hall in Ruse. The event was organized by the Association of Secondary School Principals and brought together over 100 heads of schools and kindergartens from across the country.
The training was opened by the chairman of Association of Directors in Secondary Education in the Republic of Bulgaria Asen Alexandrov and the mayor of Ruse Pencho Milkov addressed the guests.
"With the efforts of our team, innovative educational methods and cloud technologies have been introduced in every kindergarten in the municipality. In schools, we provided training for educators and the provision of completely free coding courses from grade 3," Milkov noted.
"The demand of the Syndicate of Bulgarian Teachers is 1. 3 billion. lv. a larger budget in 2023 compared to that of 2022," announced SBT Chairman Dr. Yanka Takeva. She explained that regardless of when the new budget will be adopted, 400 million have been provided by the state. lv. wage increases, which will take effect retroactively (from 1 January this year). Other main objectives are to increase the amounts for pupils' scholarships, transport costs and school maintenance.
In the following days the participants will have the opportunity to learn from their colleagues in Ruse through on-site visits to kindergartens and schools.
The official opening of the seminar was also attended by the Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev and the Head of the Regional Department of Education - Ruse Dr. Rositsa Georgieva.
