The Municipality of Ruse, together with the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture (EAFA), stocked the lake in the Lipnik Forest Park. About 2 million carp larvae donated by the Ruse company "Fisher 2009" were released into the reservoir. This is part of a series of environmental initiatives aimed at restoring and sustainable management of fish resources in the area.
Deputy Mayor Nikola Lazarov emphasized that the initiative is the result of effective cooperation between institutions, businesses and civil associations. "We will continue to work in this direction to turn Teketo into an even more attractive place for recreation and sport fishing," said Lazarov.
Aydoan Dzhelil, Head of the "Fisheries and Control - Central Danube" Department at EAFA, reminded that stocking is an important measure for restoring natural fish resources. "It is gratifying that the Municipality of Ruse is making efforts in this direction and is actively working with the EAFA and local communities. This is a good example of sustainable management of water resources."
The event was also attended by the director of OP "Parkstroy" Nikolay Kanchev, representatives of the associations "Feeder Fishing Ruse" and "Lipnik Ruse - Conservation and Stocking" and representatives of the EAFA.
The next stocking is planned for the end of the summer.
