The quality requirements for the projects applied for are increased
The municipal councillors unanimously approved a change in the regulations of the Culture Programme, with which Ruse Municipality finances events and projects in the field of arts and culture.
The proposed changes were made at the Public Culture Board meetings in relation to rising inflation. All the changes made in the programme regulations are aimed at stimulating the development of cultural activities in the municipality.
The deadline for the announcement of the Culture Programme was changed - no later than February of the current year. In this way, cultural operators will have enough time to plan their events and apply for the competition. This will avoid waiting for the adoption of the national budget, which this year will also be delayed more than usual. The deadline for reporting on programme activity was also changed from 10 to 1 December.
Small creative projects will receive 5000 BGN. from the Ruse Municipality, instead of the previous 4000 BGN.
There is also a change in the level of the applicants' own contribution - from 30% to 20%. The new regulations will allow those wishing to join the programme with projects with a budget of up to BGN 2,000. be exempted from own co-financing.
Candidates who obtain an average score below 50% of the maximum points allowed will be dropped from the ranking. Until now, this percentage was 30.
Every year, the Culture Programme of Ruse Municipality supports the Ruse community in creating unique cultural products. In 2022, the programme funded 28 projects of cultural organisations from the public, private and non-governmental sectors for a total amount of BGN 110 000.
