Ruse Municipality signed agreements for over BGN 28 million for key infrastructure projects

Five new agreements worth a total of 28,097,000 leva for financial support were signed by the Municipality of Ruse with the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. The five priority projects are included in the Investment Program for Municipal Projects of the state budget for the past year.

The project "Reconstruction of the internal water supply network of the village of Dolno Ablanovo, reconstruction and rehabilitation of "Alexander Stamboliyski" Street, "Hristo Botev" Street and "Vasil Kolarov" Street provides for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the secondary water supply network built 40 years ago in the village of Dolno Ablanovo. The repair works will cover "Alexander Stamboliyski", "Hristo Botev" and "Vasil Kolarov" streets with a total length of 10 km. The implementation of the planned activities worth 8,400,700 leva will ensure reliable water supply and reduce emergency water outages for the residents of the village.

The project "Engineering - water supply system in the village of Prosena - stage I - 7.6 km" envisages the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the secondary water supply network in the village of Prosena, which was also built in the 1980s. Its current condition leads to frequent interruptions in water supply and significant losses of drinking water, which are planned to be stopped with the implementation of the project. The funds allocated for the project are 6,278,100 leva.

The third project "Rehabilitation of the road between Nikolovo and Dolno Ablanovo, 3,600 m long" envisages major repairs of municipal roads RSE 1130 (km 9+761 – km 11+118) and RSE 1051 (section from the connection with RSE 1131 to the beginning of the village of Dolno Ablanovo) worth 6,492,200 leva, which will improve the safety and operational characteristics of the road network. At present, the existing road surface is heavily worn out with cracks and potholes, which creates a risk of accidents, especially for inter-village transport.

With the implementation of the project "Engineering Rehabilitation of the Road Dolno Ablanovo - Novo Selo" a major overhaul of the municipal road RSE1051 between the villages of Dolno Ablanovo and Novo Selo will be carried out at a cost of 6,144,000 BGN. The road surface is heavily worn with cracks and potholes, and the rehabilitation of the roadway will improve the safety and operational characteristics of the road.

Replacement and modernization of the existing water supply infrastructure in the town of Marten is also planned for 782,000 BGN. The project "Design of a sewerage network, replacement of an existing water supply network and a wastewater treatment plant in the town of Marten" is expected to improve the hygiene, safety and comfort of the residents of the settlement.
