Ruse Municipality signs a contract for 24 million leva under a European project

The Municipality of Ruse signed the grant agreement for the project proposal "Urban Environment, Culture and Economic Development". The financial assistance is for over 24 million leva, and the own funds are almost 117 thousand leva. The implementation period is 36 months.
The project envisages the implementation of four main activities. The construction of a new building to the existing building of the Income Building, major repairs, restoration and conservation of the Regional Library "Lyuben Karavelov", the introduction of energy efficiency measures for the building of the Ritual House and the construction of a site for holding public events outdoors.
It is expected that after the completion of the construction works, Ruse will significantly improve its urban environment and its overall appearance, which will contribute to the development of the city and the region as a sustainable tourist destination.
The project proposal "Urban Environment, Culture and Economic Development" is in full compliance with the Integrated Development Plan of Ruse Municipality (IDP) for the period 2021–2027 and is being implemented under the procedure for direct provision of grant aid BG16FFPR003-1.001 "Support for Integrated Urban Development in the 10 Urban Municipalities - Main Growth Centers".
