Ruse Municipality won projects for renovation of two school dormitories

Ruse Municipality won two projects for the renovation of the dormitories of the Vocational School of Agriculture "Angel Kanchev" and the Center for Support of Personal Development - Dormitory for secondary school students. The approved funding will be implemented under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, with the total cost of the two activities being almost €8. 5 million. lv.
The implementation of the two projects will create a modern and quality residential and educational environment. Major renovation of both buildings is planned, including the implementation of energy efficiency measures and the provision of an accessible architectural environment. The interventions foresee thermal insulation of external walls, replacement of existing depreciated joinery, thermal insulation of the roof and floor, heating and lighting measures, as well as the purchase of new equipment and furniture.
Once the energy efficiency measures are implemented, the buildings are expected to improve their energy class, which in turn will characterise the site as energy efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly. The envisaged set of measures and interventions will contribute to changing the overall appearance of the two dormitories and their adjacent sites. This will ensure safe and healthy conditions for education, development of the physical and cultural environment and the surrounding space. The implementation of the project proposal will contribute to the inclusion and inclusion in the educational process and modern trends in the field of education. The projects will support the transformation of the educational institution into a modern and supportive environment, contributing to the motivation for learning and improving the knowledge and skills of students regionally and nationally.
The projects are funded under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan, BG-RRP-1. 011 - "Repair and Rehabilitation of Dormitories in the School Education System".
