Ruse Scout Club "Prista" celebrated 10 years since its establishment

Today at the Kanev Center the Ruse Scout Club "Prista" celebrated its 10th anniversary. The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev, the Director of the BRC - Ruse Antoaneta Yabanozova, the MP Dimitar Nedyalkov, as well as many members of the largest international organization in the country.

"Your club gives the children a feeling that they are part of something significant and together you do not stop giving meaning to your motto "We are creating a better world", with these words Encho Enchev addressed the President of the Scout Club "Prista" Lieutenant Colonel Teodor Peev. The Deputy Mayor assured the enthusiasts of the organization that their efforts and help have not gone unnoticed and that Ruse Municipality will always be their partner in their noble causes.

"Scouting is a way of life, a way of thinking and a way of perceiving the surrounding world", this is how Lieutenant Colonel Peev, who is the oldest active scout in Bulgaria, described the activity of the scouts. He also talked about how since the club's foundation many members from different countries have come to Ruse to exchange experiences with the Prista volunteers.

A Christmas bazaar with handmade products decorated the lobby of the Kanev Center, and those who wished could purchase items from it, supporting the next initiatives of the scouts.

The Organization of Bulgarian Scouts is the only Bulgarian full member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, with 17 clubs, and the Ruse club is the largest with over 150 members. Worldwide, the Scouts number more than 72 million people who work on an all-volunteer basis. Their mission is to contribute to the education and spiritual growth of young people.Through a system of values based on the promise and law of Scouting, they help build a better world where people can develop their abilities and play a creative role in society. Scouting aims to help young people develop their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
