Ruse will celebrate 137 years since the Unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia

On 6 September /Tuesday/ at 11 am, the citizens of Ruse will be able to join the festive ceremony on the occasion of the 137th anniversary of the Unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia. It will take place in front of the Monument to the Fallen in the Serbo-Bulgarian War in Battenberg Square.
The Mayor Pencho Milkov and the Regional Governor Anatoly Stanev will give festive speeches. A funeral prayer in memory of the dead and a thanksgiving prayer in honor of the Unification of Bulgaria will be celebrated by priests from the Holy Metropolis of Ruse.
Traditionally, the guard of honour will be built in front of the monument and the Municipal Brass Band, led by Maestro Dimcho Rubchev, will perform solemn marches.
At the end of the ceremony, all interested citizens will be able to offer flowers at the monument. Representatives of official institutions, political parties and other organisations can lay their wreaths by pre-registering at pr@mayor-ruse.bg.
The ceremony will be hosted by the actor from "Sava Ognyanov'' Drama Theatre - Ruse Ventsislav Petkov.
