Ruse will host the first Balkan Shinkyokushin Karate Championship for Bulgaria

The first Balkan Shinkyokushin Karate Championship for Bulgaria will be held on September 6 at Arena Ruse. It is organized in partnership between the Bulgarian Shinkyokushin Karate Federation and the Municipality of Ruse.

The first meeting of the organizing committee took place in the Round Hall today, whose honorary chairmen are the mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov and the chairman of the federation Boris Nikolov. The chairman of the committee is Borislav Rachev - Deputy Mayor "Sports and Youth Activities". During the meeting, Nikolov announced that representatives of Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Romania and Croatia have been invited to participate. It is expected that about 600 competitors will arrive in the city.

The karatekas will compete in the disciplines of kata and kumite. Athletes from all age groups will take to the tatami - up to 14, 16 and 18 years old, men and women, veterans. The meeting of the organizing committee was also attended by Lachezar Ivanov - director of ME "Sports Properties", Georgi Popov - technical director of the federation, Dima Yaneva - general secretary, Tsveta Ignatova from the federation office, as well as Mitko Ruzhinov - junior expert in the "Youth Activities and Sports" Directorate and Lyubomir Hristov - executive director of "Arena Ruse".
