Today in Ruse Municipality took place the final part of the project "Enjoy coding with Scratch" Erasmus + project N: 2020-1-LT01-KA229-078064_2/. The initiative was aimed at developing the digital skills of students and the graduates of the National School of Art "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov" - Ruse. 5 countries - Bulgaria, Lithuania, Turkey, Italy and North Macedonia - are partners in the project.
The meeting began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. As part of the initiative, students created learning materials for their younger classmates in the primary stage.
"I am happy that Ruse students had the opportunity to gain experience from their peers from other countries," said Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev. He presented certificates of successful completion to the coordinators from each of the five countries and thanked the participants for their good work together.
The project was launched in 2020 and started with an online training for teachers led by Turkey. Mobilities were carried out in the Republic of Macedonia, Lithuania, Italy and the last training meeting took place in Ruse. Each of them worked on different products in Scratch - educational games for the youngest in different subjects (Macedonia and Italy), animation of fairy tales (in Lithuania). During the "Code music" meeting, all teams had to code a favourite melody chosen by the participating countries. The students from the National School of Art - Ruse actively helped their peers to read a musical text, to transfer it, edit and animate it in the program. Different applications and interactive methods of music performance and processing were presented in a fun way that would support the learning of the subject.
Within the project, the participants visited the new Education for the Future Hall at the University of Ruse, as well as the Regional History Museum and the Eco Museum. In the context of the intercultural dialogue, visits to the Basarbovo Monastery, the Ivanovo Rock Churches and the ''Said Pasha'' Mosque were also included. The five days of mobility contributed to the exchange of knowledge and skills, good practices, new friendships and joint ideas that will ensure the sustainability of the project results.
