The gasification of "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" in Nikolovo. It is realized thanks to the partnership between the Ruse company M-Gas, the State Oil and Gas Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Municipality of Ruse.
The beginning was set today with a solemn ceremony in the courtyard of the educational institution. According to an old Bulgarian tradition, the hosts welcomed the official guests from Bulgaria and Azerbaijan with bread and salt. Especially for the event arrived the Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov, Eng. Stoyan Manolov, Manager of M-Gas Ltd., Murad Heydarov, Head of the Regional Trade Representation of SOCAR in the Balkans, Farid Hadjiev, Head of the Administrative Department of SOCAR, Ramil Asadulzadeh, Executive Director. Director of SOCAR Romania and Rosen Simitchiev, Office Manager of SOCAR's Regional Trade Representation in the Balkans. Among the attendees were also the mayor of Nikolovo Zlatan Vanev, the municipal councilor Iskren Veselinov, the mayor's deputy in Sredna Kula Bozhidar Yotov and others.
The students greeted the guests with musical performances, and the director of the educational institution Rositsa Vladova welcomed the guests with gratitude, expressing the desire of the pedagogical staff to create comfort and coziness for the children.
"Today in Nikolovo we are launching a new heating system in the school, which will replace the current one on diesel. All this will happen with the support of the companies "M-Gas" and SOCAR under the explicit agreement between the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev," said Mayor Pencho Milkov. He explained that the agreement makes it possible to provide gas from Azerbaijan not only for companies, but also for non-profit buildings such as this school. "It will be the first such building in which the agreement will be implemented and I thank that it will be in the municipality of Ruse that the first site will be. I thank both companies for their efforts and investments. I have their assurance that they cover not only the costs of building the installation, but also the costs of heating for the winter season. The analysis shows that gas heating is twice cheaper than what is now available in the school. At the same time, the Municipality of Ruse is starting to repair and renovate the building of the educational institution, so the two projects will coincide, but there will be no need to move the students to another building," said Mayor Milkov.
A mobile platform with gas cylinders has already been delivered to the school and the head of operations at M-Gas explained how the system will work. The ribbon of the created initial gas connection was solemnly cut by Pencho Milkov, Eng. Stoyan Manolov and Murad Heydarov.
Manolov explained that the investment in the school in Nikolovo for the conversion of the fuel system from oil to gas is covered by the company. "At the same time, the Municipality of Ruse will save about BGN 70,000 for one year, as we will pay for the heating," added Manolov. He explained that M-Gas, together with the Municipality of Ruse, plans to gasify about 15-17 buildings in areas where there is no gas heating network in the next heating season. "Our ambitious goal is that within two years all buildings of the Municipality - schools, children's and health care facilities, which are without a gas distribution system, will be gasified in this way. According to Manolov, Ruse has a bright future ahead of it in terms of investments and human resources.
"It is very symbolic that the first school gasified by us is named after the brothers Cyril and Methodius, who created the alphabet," said Murad Heydarov. He thanked the principal of the school for the wonderful celebration and the mayor Pencho Milkov for the expansion of the strategic relations between the two countries. "Our company will continue to work for the supply of gas to a number of social facilities," Heydarov said.
