The 10th edition of "Stage under the linden trees" gathers over 1000 participants and folklore lovers

On June 15 and 16 /Saturday and Sunday/ in the Lipnik Forest Park area will be held the 10th edition of the National Folklore Festival "Stage under the linden trees". The event is realized with the support of the Municipality of Ruse,Nikolovo City Hall and the Community Center "Probuda - 1901", and it will involve nearly 1000 participants and 100 groups from all over the country and from neighboring Romania.

The festival will start on Saturday at 10 a. m. , and during the official opening there will be a tea ceremony with linden tea. 500 gingerbread cookies with the logo of "Stage under the linden trees" will be distributed on site. The audience will have the opportunity to see for the first time the new mascots of the festival, who will play the "Dance of the Bees".

Guests can view and buy products from the "Alley of Health and Beauty", from the exhibition of beekeepers, as well as from the stands of traditional crafts, and for the youngest there are children's animations and workshops.

For the second time, the International Plein Air for Drawings "The Soul of a Child" will be held, in which children from the villages of Nikolovo and Giurgiu will take part.

The audience will enjoy a fire show, preceded by the performance of bagpipes.

The program also includes a "Folklore Horotheque under the Stars", which starts on Saturday at 8 p. m. , and its guests will be the performers from the Izvor Orchestra.

Traditionally, the participants in the cycling trip of the Velo Ruse Association will be welcomed, which will depart at 11:30 a. m. from Ruse with a route to the Forest Park.

On Sunday, a children's fishing competition will be held, organized by the Fishing Association "Lipnik Ruse", a children's orienteering competition and "Folklore horotheque under the linden trees" with the participation of the musical formation "Danube Magic".

The organizers of the festival invite all folklore fans to Lipnik Forest Park, where they can also taste the delicious temptations offered at the pavilions, as well as the sweet treats at the stands, which will work for the guests of the celebration during the two days.
