The book "Ruse - for the first time in Bulgaria" was presented

"Everything outside Ruse is a province. . . "

With these words begins the bilingual illustrated edition "Ruse - for the first time in Bulgaria". The book was presented in the Regional Library "Lyuben Karavelov", and the event was attended by the interim mayor Dimitar Nedev, the deputy mayors of Ruse Zlatomira Stefanova and Encho Enchev, as well as many Ruse public figures and citizens. The publication is financed by the Ruse Municipality and is realized with the assistance of the Regional Historical Museum, the State Archive - Ruse and the Regional Library "Lyuben Karavelov".

"This is not the first publication related to the name of Ruse, but it is the first of its kind, created with the preservation of the memory and the greatness of our city in mind," Stoyan Stoyanov - Komitski, who presented the book to the people of Ruse, addressed the audience. He said the aim of the publication is to make readers proud of the city's glory. The Ruse local historian also expressed his gratitude to Pencho Milkov, whose idea for the creation of the book.

"Ruse - for the first time in Bulgaria" was created by the author team Stoyan Stoyanov - Komitski, Eng. Yovcho Stoyanov, Eng. Rumen Kuzov and Khachik Lebikyan. The editor is the Ruse historian Hon. assoc. Zhivodar Dushkov. Assistance in the development of the texts and the provision and selection of the illustrative material is provided by the specialists from the Regional History Museum prof. Nikolay Nenov, Diana Boteva and Kremena Todorova, from the State Archive - Ruse Tolya Chorbadjieva and Dr. Nadezhda Tsvetkova, from the Regional Library "Lyuben Karavelov" Teodora Evtimova and Dr. Teodora Dyankova. Documents from their personal archives and collections are provided by the authors, as well as Ruse local historians and researchers of the history of the town Boyan Draganov /consultant of the publication/, Stefan Draganov, Ilian Iliev, Dieter Hess and others. The translation into English is entrusted to Miglena Parashkevova and Nikolay Marinov.

The events and facts in the book are arranged chronologically and cover the period from 1843 to the present day. The edition is richly illustrated, some of the photographs and documents being published for the first time. The texts have been translated into English so that the publication can be used by foreign visitors to Ruse and the municipality.

"Ruse - for the first time in Bulgaria" is published by the Ruse publishing house "Avangard Print". The first edition of the publication will not be announced for sale, but will be donated to libraries, educational institutions and institutions on the territory of the municipality of Ruse. There are plans for reprints, which will benefit Ruse companies and citizens who wish to own the publication.
