The District Information Point in Ruse welcomed representatives of the Hungarian NGO "European House". The guests are working on the "Everyday Cohesion" project, through which journalists from local and regional media in Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia get acquainted with the results of the European funds invested in the individual countries of the European Union.
Within the framework of the initiative, various countries will be visited. In Bulgaria, the first stop is the District Information Point-Ruse with a project implemented by the Municipality of Ruse and funded by the Technical Assistance Program. The manager of the center, Diana Avramova, presented the economic and investment potential of the city, pointed out its advantages as a port for new business ventures and tourism. The contribution to the promotion in the field of European funding opportunities and successfully implemented projects was also emphasized.
The next stop of the group is the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev", where the first Center of Excellence in the country with 5 laboratories in the field of information and communication technologies, funded by the Operational Program "Science and Education for Smart Growth", was built with European funds. The guests plan to visit the Home for the Elderly "Flora" in Byala, established under the project "SoBy – Improved Coordination and Social Policies between the Municipalities of Byala and Gradinari for an Effective Cross-Border Region", funded by Interreg V-A Romania – Bulgaria 2014 – 2020, as well as the restored Belene Bridge under the project "Conservation and Restoration of the Bridge of Kolyu Ficheto", co-financed under the Operational Program "Regions in Growth" 2014 - 2020.
