A public discussion of the Concept for Integrated Territorial Investments (CITI) BG16FFPR003-2.003-0007 "Silistra, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Ruse - integrated territorial development for a sustainable future" was held in the building of the Ruse Municipality.
The concept was developed with the aim of contributing to territorial cohesion, social inclusion and sustainable development of the municipalities of Silistra, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Ruse through integrated investments in social, health, educational, housing and urban infrastructure, combined with measures for the development of human capital and local resources.
The document includes 15 project ideas that seek combined funding from:
• Regional Development Program 2021–2027
• Human Resources Development Program 2021–2027
• Education Program 2021–2027
• Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Program 2021–2027
The selection of project ideas is tailored to the specific needs of the territory and aims to promote sustainable and integrated development in various sectors - social services, healthcare, education and urban environment.
Among the highlights for the city of Ruse, the project "Major renovation and energy efficiency measures in the Iglika Kindergarten" was presented, aimed at creating better conditions for training and care for children, as well as reducing energy costs.
Representatives of the lead partner – Silistra Municipality, as well as the partners in the concept – Ruse Municipality and Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality took part in the discussion.
The participants in the meeting had the opportunity to get acquainted with the goals, priorities and project ideas within the framework of CITI, as well as to present their proposals and opinions.
