The project, supported by the Culture Program of the Municipality of Ruse and initiated by the artist Emma Yordanova, has been completed. “New Energy” transformed electrical panels in Ruse with lots of color, and in addition to improving the urban environment, the project has also become an inspiring start to a long-term initiative to develop the creative potential of the community and the cultural image of the city.
At the beginning of the summer, the first panels were transformed, when colorful paintings were created on unusual “panels” in the Youth Park, Rodina District and on K. Irechek Street. The following interventions gave new life to the electrical panels in the Central City, including on Khan Krum Street and Ferdinand Blvd.
The authors of the various compositions are the artists Emma Yordanova and Martin Petrov in collaboration with the young artists Daria Bratoeva and Mihaela Mladenova. In addition to the Municipality of Ruse, the team has also successfully partnered with ERP – North.
The project was also warmly welcomed by the residents of Ruse, who happened to witness its implementation. A large number of them showed interest in the colorful initiative and asked the performers whether they would continue to transform other parts of the city life in the future.
On September 20, an all-day outdoor painting event took place in front of the Evas complex. The organizers invite residents of Ruse and guests of the city to come to the Art Gallery on September 30 /Tuesday/, where a photo exhibition will be opened documenting the overall implementation of the project.
