The judo competitors of SC "Lokomotiv" with numerous awards from tournaments in Gabrovo and Sevlievo

Over the weekend, the little hopes of Lokomotiv Sports Club participated in two judo tournaments. The competitors returned with more than 20 medals and 3 team cups.

On Saturday in Sevlievo was held an International Tournament for Children in memory of the Honored Master of Sports Mitko Stoyanov, which is held for athletes born in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Desislav Dimitrov performed excellently and he became the champion in the lightest category. On her debut, Ana Baltadjieva won the second place.

On Sunday, the 50th anniversary edition of the Traditional Judo Tournament took place in Gabrovo, in which more than 400 children from all over the country took part. They competed in three categories – born in 2017, 2016 and 2015; 2014, 2013, 2012 and born in 2011, 2010 and 2009.

Champions were Michael Suraev /up to 23 kg/, Siyana Sofronieva /up to 23 kg/ and Rumyan Yordanov /up to 42 kg/. The player of SC "Lokomotiv", participating in the lightest category - Miran Yumerov, had no loss and also won a gold medal.

Second places were taken by Martin Marinov /21 kg/, Vayana Sofronieva /23 kg/, Ana Baltadjieva /52 kg/, Radoslav Zhekov /50 kg/ and Nikola Tonchev in the heaviest category.

The coaches who guided the players of SC "Lokomotiv" during the two tournaments were Vladimir Velikov and Mario Zhekov.
