The Mayor of Ruse and the management of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation discussed new projects and cooperation

The Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov held today a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation Lyubomir Ganev and the Deputy Chairman David Davidov. The main topic of the talks were future projects and initiatives for the development of volleyball in the city and the opportunities for holding large-scale sports events in the region.

During the meeting, Lyubomir Ganev emphasized that the main goal of the federation is to support sports clubs in cities where volleyball is actively developing, and that this sport can be a kind of springboard to quality education and success for young talents. He noted that interest in volleyball is constantly growing.

Mayor Pencho Milkov said that it is extremely important for the Municipality of Ruse to continue the development of sports at all levels. "Volleyball is not only a means of building healthy young people in every respect, but also a way to unite the community. We are proud of our traditions and achievements in sports and believe that with the support of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation we will be able to inspire new energy in the development of this dynamic sport in the region," said the mayor. He added that volleyball training in the Sports School has been restored in the city and stressed that Ruse is among the few municipalities in the country that have preserved their student sports school.

The talks were also attended by Deputy Mayor Borislav Rachev and the Director of Municipal Enterprise "Disputed Properties" Lacezar Ivanov.

The meeting ended with a discussion of specific ideas for cooperation and the development of volleyball in the region, with a focus on supporting local clubs and attracting new sports initiatives in Ruse.
