40 couples have applied for the Assisted Reproduction Programme of Ruse Municipality for 2022, and all of them have been approved. Five of them have informed that they have a positive result and are expecting their offspring in the current year 2023, and for the past two couples with reproductive problems have acquired a child.
The municipal administration has been informed of the postponement of the procedures on medical grounds by one married couple, and another has decided that she will not take advantage of the opportunity provided due to a naturally occurring pregnancy.
The target group, to which the activities of the Programme are directed, are couples (family or living in de facto cohabitation), registered with permanent or current address - Ruse Municipality, for at least 3 years, who have reproductive problems and who meet the established criteria.
The programme has been implemented since 2008 with the requirements set by a decision of the Ruse Municipal Council. It was launched in 2008 with a budget of 35 000 BGN and for the past year 2022 the approved funds amounted to 60 thousand BGN. lv.
There are 32 potential applicants for the Assisted Reproductive Technology Program for 2023 so far, with the deadline for submissions from April 1 to April 30.
