The Municipal Council in Ruse adopted a Tourism Development Program in the municipality for 2024

At its extraordinary meeting, the Municipal Council adopted the Tourism Development Program in Ruse Municipality for 2024 and the report on its implementation for the past 2023.

The development of tourism is a leading factor in the economy of the city, as well as has a huge impact on the quality of life of the local population. That is why this sector has a key role in the management vision of Ruse Municipality.

The report describes in detail the events held over the past year, which promoted the municipality as a recognizable tourist destination.

The main objectives outlined in the annual tourism development program in Ruse Municipality are:

- attracting more organized group and individual tourists in the municipality, as well as extending the length of their stay;

- creation of a complex tourist product that unites the existing attractions and services in the city;

- developing existing partnerships and creating new ones with the private sector to provide modern and innovative tourism products;

- positioning the municipality of Ruse as a tourist center of the Ruse region and promotion of the destination. This can be realized through participation in specialized tourist exhibitions, presentation of tourist products directly to end users, building a database of travel agents, publications in specialized editions, promotion on the Internet of interesting tourist destinations in Ruse Municipality and the region.
