With 42 "yes" votes, the municipal councilors adopted the most important strategic document of the Municipality of Ruse in the next 7 years.
The integrated development plan outlines the medium-term goals and priorities for the development of the municipality in the field of tourism, ecology, economy and innovation, education, health care, social services and urban mobility, as well as the resources with which they will be implemented.
One of the most important aspects of the document is that the projects included in it will have priority in their evaluation for obtaining European funding.
"I thank the team of the Municipality of Ruse and all the citizens of Ruse who actively participated in the development of the document. It contains 3 goals, 9 priorities and 32 measures", informed the Deputy Mayor Zlatomira Stefanova. She reminded the councilors that the set measures are the most the essential part of the plan and can be supplemented annually so that the document is as up-to-date as possible.
The indicative budget for the implementation of the measures is BGN 830 million, which includes funding from European programs, the state and the municipal budget.
We remind you that the focus of the municipal leadership when developing the strategic document was to make the voice of the citizens heard. Thus, more than 1,000 citizens of Ruse, representatives of the business and scientific circles, took part in the process, who gave their opinions and suggestions by means of surveys organized by the municipal administration, filling out project sheets and participating in the so-called "focus groups" on specific topics.
