The National Paralympic Organization awarded the Municipality of Ruse with an honorary plaque

Mayor Pencho Milkov received an honorary plaque for the Municipality of Ruse from the National Paralympic Organization. The award was presented by the chairman of Sports Club "Olympus - sport is equal" Georgi Gaev for the good cooperation and support from the local administration for organizing sports competitions for people with disabilities.
"Your competitors have always shown fortitude and courage, from which we can all draw inspiration," Mayor Milkov addressed the club chairman. He thanked for the honor and stated that in the future the Municipality of Ruse will be open to solving the problems of disadvantaged people, who will be given the necessary support and attention in order to encourage their active lifestyle and their personal and physical development .
During the meeting, it was discussed the holding of future sports competitions to attract new members to the sports club, as well as participation in national tournaments for people with disabilities. For his part, Georgi Gaev expressed his gratitude for the support of the Municipality of Ruse, which for the past 4 years through the "Sport" Program has financially supported 6 sports events of "Olympus - sport is equal".
We would like to remind you that the Municipality of Ruse also supports the activities of the SC for Integration "Danube 2013", whose members are visually impaired. Club members compete primarily at the national level, with their chosen disciplines being Canadian wrestling, track and field, sport fishing, backgammon, archery, hiking, chess and showdown.
