The new public laundry already serves the three major social services in Ruse

Since the beginning of the year the new public laundry of the Ruse Municipality has started working. It serves the specialized institutions for the provision of social services - Home for the elderly "Vazrazhdane", Home for adults with dementia "Prista" and Home for adults with physical disabilities "Milosardie". The public laundry is located in Druzhba 3, in the building of the former Home for Medical and Social Care for Children /MSCC/ on Druzhba street. "N. Y. Vaptsarov" 20.
A number of improvements have been made to its premises, with works including new tiling and plastering to the walls, new doors and partitions, new flooring, and the replacement of all the services. The premises are equipped with 2 top of the range washing machines, one of which is a barrier type, 2 tumble dryers and 1 ironing calender as well as a professional iron.
4 employees have been hired - three laundresses and a housekeeper who will take care of the maintenance of the facilities.They have all received the necessary training to work in the public laundry.
Until now, the laundry of nursing homes was outsourced through public procurement. The opening of the community laundry is expected to ease processes, reduce costs and improve the quality of services offered to seniors.
