The new Ruse electric buses offer a journey through history

What is Ruse's connection with the Alexander Nevsky temple-monument, the determination of the candidates for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, the world-famous novel "The Green Hat", the electrification of a large part of the cities of Northern Bulgaria? You can learn these and many other interesting facts by traveling with the new electric buses of "Municipal Transport Ruse" EAD.
"Travel in history" is a joint project of the company and the Municipal Foundation "Ruse - City of the Free Spirit", which is implemented under the "Knowledge and Growth" program, implemented in partnership with "Ekont Express" OOD. The initiative aims to increase the knowledge of the people of Ruse about notable personalities associated with the city.
QR codes have been placed in each of the new electric buses. They can be scanned with a phone or tablet and provide information about significant personalities from the history of Ruse. The informative articles include both details about their life path, what they contributed to the development of the city, and photographic material. For the more curious, sources for additional information are also indicated. At this stage, information on 20 notable personalities is included, and the list will gradually be supplemented.
To make the journey through history even more interesting, as well as to stimulate young people to accumulate knowledge, a quiz with subject prizes is planned in the fall. In addition to questions related to the content of the project, questions from the general history of the city of Ruse will also be included.
