The Sportsman of the Year ceremony will be held on January 14th.

The acceptance of nominations for this year's Sportsman of the Year poll has begun. The event, which is organized by the Municipality of Ruse and the newspaper "Utro", will be held on January 14. The distinguished athletes for 2025 will compete in 4 categories.
The nominations are traditionally proposed by sports clubs, after which the media vote for their Top 10. This year, the deadline for submitting proposals for the award is November 22. Clubs should send the athletes they consider deserving to the email utro@utroruse.com .
During the solemn ceremony, the prestigious sports awards will be awarded in the categories for best athlete, team, coach and practitioner. The criteria according to which the athletes will be voted for are their successes in Olympic, World, European, Balkan and Republican championships, respectively.
