The young swimmers of "Lokomotiv" with 9 medals from a tournament in Stara Zagora

he youngest competitors from the Swimming Sports Club "Lokomotiv" /9-10 years old/ participated in the 4th edition of the Swimming Tournament "Blue Summer" in Stara Zagora. It was attended by 280 children from 31 clubs in the country. The competitors from Ruse significantly improved their personal achievements in their second competition of the year, winning 5 silver and 4 bronze medals.
In the age group of 10-year-olds, Boyan Elenchev took second place in the 50 m butterfly and 100 m backstroke, and third place in the 50 m backstroke. Nikola Nankov left with a silver medal in the 50 m freestyle. Djan Ahmed won third place in the 100 m breaststroke. Monika Vladimirova grabbed the silver in the 50 m butterfly, and Ivayla Doncheva became third in the 50 m butterfly.
In the 9-year-olds, Dea Georgieva won third place in the 100 m backstroke. This was her debut in a competition and her first medal.
In the relay swimming, the team won the second place in the 4x50 m freestyle mix consisting of Boyan Elenchev, Nikola Nankov, Ivayla Donchev and Zara Milanova.
The swimmers from Ruse are preparing hard for the upcoming state championships in a 50-meter pool.
