At an official ceremony and on the occasion of the student holiday - December 8, Ruse Municipality presented the traditional award "Student of the Year". The two most outstanding graduates of Ruse University "Angel Kanchev" received the prestigious award in the form of a diploma and a scholarship, which is given for excellent grades, lasting interests and achievements in scientific research. These are Tsvetelina Stefanova and Serkan Sadulov.
Tsvetelina and Serkan were awarded by the Mayor Pencho Milkov in the presence of the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Ruse Acad. Hristo Beloev, PhD and the deputy mayors of Ruse municipality Encho Enchev and Dimitar Nedev.
"I sincerely hope that with determination and perseverance you will find the way to apply what you have learned to do good. It brings meaning and satisfaction," the mayor said.
Tsvetelina Stefanova is a fourth year student at Ruse University "Angel Kanchev", specialty "Computer Systems and Technologies", faculty "Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation". In addition to excellent results in studies, the student participates in various student competitions, where she takes prizes:
- Gold medal at the National Student Olympiad in Computer Mathematics in Bankya in October 2022;
- Silver medal at the National Student Mathematics Olympiad in Montana in May 2023;
- First place at the Innovative Computer Development Competition in Ruse also in 2023.
During the current year she has participated in a number of national and international conferences, seminars and schools. Tsvetelina Stefanova is an active member of national and international organizations, including: the National Commission for Linguistics since 2021; since 2021 is a member of the international organization Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and others.
Serkan Hasanov Sadulov is a third year student at Ruse University "Angel Kanchev", specialty "Software Engineering", faculty "Natural Sciences and Education". He is among the students actively representing Ruse University at national and international competitions and actively participates in our and international scientific sessions and seminars.
He won a number of prestigious awards, including: the Crystal Prize "The best paper" from the 62nd Scientific Conference of RU&SU'23 "New industries, digital economy, society-projects of the future VI" with a presentation of a scientific paper; excellent performance at the Innovative Youth Expo 2023; presentation in the XXXIV and XXXV Republican Student Olympiad in Programming, etc.
Sadulov works in his free time at the Centre for Information and Computer Services (CIKO) - Multimedia Sector of Ruse University, where he actively uses what he has learned so far and develops new knowledge and skills.
