Viktorio Iliev was awarded by Mayor Pencho Milkov for "Sportsman of the Month"

The graduate of the Sports School "Major Atanas Uzunov" and athlete of BC "Lokomotiv"-Ruse Viktorio Iliev became the third Sportsman of the Month, voted by the management of the school. He received a diploma from Mayor Pencho Milkov in the presence of the director of the Sports School Evgeni Nedev and Deputy Mayor Encho Enchev.
The Bulgarian national boxer with personal coach Alexey Ribchev was honored for winning a gold medal at the Junior World Cup in Budva, Montenegro. In the category up to 60 kg he won against his opponent with the unanimous 5:0 votes and was awarded for his success by the President of BF Boxing Krasimir Ininski.
"Your successes are an example for your peers and pride for our fellow citizens, and with the discipline, motivation and sporting drive you possess, I am convinced that you will conquer new sporting heights," the Mayor congratulated him and wished him success at the upcoming European Junior Championships in Yerevan, Armenia.
We remind you that the 11th grader from the Sports School won a silver medal at the European Boxing Championships for juniors in Montesilvano, Italy, last year and took the eighth place in the ranking for "Sportsman of the Year" in Ruse for 2022.
