A festive concert "Let them remain in glory and honor" is organized by the Municipality of Ruse on October 31 (Thursday), at 6 p.m., in the Europe Hall of the Dokhodno zdanie. During the event, which is on the occasion of the Day of the National Revival Leaders, the annual awards "Ruse – 21. century". The prestigious award is awarded to pupils and students from Ruse educational institutions for outstanding achievements and awards. In 2024, the holiday is marked by two significant anniversaries - 200 years since the publication of the "Fish Primer" and 225 years since the birth of its author - Dr. Petar Beron.
This year in Ruse will be presented the prestigious National Award "Daskal Botyo Petkov" to the National Foundation "Hristo Botyov" by its chairman Boyan Botyov, great-grandson of Hristo Botev's brother - General Kiril Botyov. According to the statute, the Daskal Botyo Petkov Award is awarded to a teacher in the humanities subjects: Bulgarian language and literature, history and civilization, geography and philosophy at the high school stage of secondary education.
The award is an honorary sign with the image of teacher Botyo Petkov, made by the artist and sculptor Georgi Nedyalkov, as well as an honorary diploma.
The concert "Let them be in glory and honor" will be attended by: Hristo Kostov and students of the Theater Studio "Mask" at the Municipal Youth Center, led by Mina Marinova; Children's choir "Danube Waves" at the Regional State Center for Children's Choir, conducted by Vesela Todorova; Ventsislav Velev – student from Baba Tonka High School; Piano duo Neda Moskova and Kylie Wang from the class of Krasimira Ivanova, graduates of the National School of Arts "Prof. Veselin Stoyanov"; Desislava Vasileva – Vocal Studio for Pop and Jazz Singing "Ikonomov" at the Municipal Youth Cente, led by Vili Ikonomov; Vocal group "Prista" at the Municipal Youth Cente, led by Dorothea Balovska; Dance studio "Impulse" at the Municipal Youth Cente, led by Petya Boneva and Milena Lazarova. Screenwriter, director and presenter is Mina Marinova.
