1126 first-graders stepped on the threshold of classrooms in the municipality of Ruse

The new 2024/2025 school year was launched with solemn ceremonies in all schools and kindergartens on the territory of the municipality of Ruse. The first graders who cross the school threshold are 1126, and the number of children entering the first group is 937."Today is special for you, not only because of the new knowledge waiting for you in class, but because in the classroom you will find friends for life and you will experience some of your good moments. I thank all the teachers who, despite the difficulties, every school year give their best and foster a sense of love for the homeland in the children," said Mayor Pencho Milkov to the students and the teaching staff of ''Vasil est school in the country and 1352 children will study in it this school year. During his visit to Vasil Levski Secondary School, the mayor expressed hope that in the next school year the selected contractor for the construction of the new school building will be able to complete the building so that it can be used by primary school students. In this way, the material base will be modernized and modernized, ensuring the security and safety of the graduates and stimulating their interest in the maximum expression of their abilities. The new building is located next to the existing gymnasium and will allow the transition to a one-shift training regime. The activities envisage the opening of a construction site in the coming days.

The Deputy Mayors of Ruse Municipality also sent their wishes to the students and congratulated them on the beginning of the school year. Encho Enchev visited "Otets Paisiy" Primary School and "Apostol Arnaudov" Vocational High School, Zlatomira Stefanova honored the holiday of "Geo Milev" English language school, Zdravka Velikova attended the celebration of "Penyo Penev" Vocational High School, Dimitar Nedev wished a successful year for everyone at "Yosif Vondrak" Vocational High School, Nikola Lazarov shared the holiday with the students from "Vasil Aprilov" Primary School, and Borislav Rachev congratulated the students of "Rusalka" Kindergarten and "Otets Paisiy" Primary School - Marten.

The start of the academic year was also given at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev", where more than 1600 new students will be trained in 2024/2025. Mayor Pencho Milkov addressed the attendees with a wish to leave a significant mark after graduation. "Work as a single team, see the person next to you as a brother, not an opponent, and be patriotic," the mayor said.

During the summer season, many repairs were carried out in order to improve the material and technical base in educational institutions - the purchase of new furniture for classrooms, study halls and gyms. Repairs of roofs and yards in kindergartens, replacement of depreciated windows, repairs and renovation of open disputed areas were carried out. In some of the schools and kindergartens, in addition to the traditional refreshment of the interior space, a complete replacement and repair of the sanitary facilities was also carried out.
