30 projects will receive funding under the Culture Programme of Ruse Municipality in 2023.

Municipality of Ruse will fund 30 out of 46 project proposals in the field of culture and art this year. 28 of them are in Creative Projects and two in International Festivals.
The proposals received were examined by two committees - a 4-member committee for establishing administrative compliance and eligibility of the applicants and project proposals, and a 7-member committee for evaluation and ranking. The projects were evaluated independently by three external experts and the final ranking was then carried out by the full panel.
Earlier this year, the City Council approved a change to the Culture Program by-laws. The total amount in 2023, which will be used to fund the projects, is increased by BGN 10 000. compared to the previous year and became 120 000 BGN. The maximum amount of funding for small creative projects was increased from BGN 4 000 to BGN 5 000. There has also been a change in the level of the applicants' own contribution - from 30% to 20%. The new regulations also allow projects with a budget of up to BGN 2 000. be exempted from own co-financing.
A funding order is to be issued for the approved projects and contracts are to be signed with the relevant organisations. They are obliged to submit to the office of the Municipality of Ruse a substantive and financial report within one month after the implementation of the projects, but no later than 1 December 2023.
The approved amounts are distributed in descending order of ranking until the funds approved by the Municipal Council's decision from the budget of Ruse Municipality under the Culture Programme amount to 120 000 BGN. and you can see them here.
