73 applicants approved for alternative heating under ''Life'' Programme

Applications for the 4th phase of the programme have started





there are 73 approved applicants who applied between 1 November 2023 and 31 January 2024 to switch to alternative domestic heating.

In cases of conversion to natural gas heating, the approved applicant shall submit to the municipality a technical project for the gasification of the property (including the type of heating appliances - gas boiler or gas convector(s)) within two months of the announcement of the results /by 5 April/, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations.

In the case of a switch to pellet stove water jacket heating or pellet boiler water jacket heating, the approved applicant shall submit a technical diagram of the water jacket installation within two months of the announcement of the results /by 5 April/, which shall include the type and capacity of the pellet heater.

The call for applications will remain open until the financial resources of the project are exhausted, but not later than 30 April. The ranking of candidates who submitted their forms between 1 February and 30 April will be done by 31 May.

The activities are carried out under the Main Phase of the Integrated Project "Bulgarian Municipalities Working Together to Improve Ambient Air Quality" under the LIFE Programme of the European Union.

The evaluation of the applicants against the criteria and through a competitive selection process was carried out by a working group of project experts.
