A new corner for mothers and children opened in Semerdjievo village

The children and mothers in Semerdjievo village now have a newly equipped centre, the construction of which was funded by the municipal programme "Small settlements".

"Ruse Municipality only allocates the funds for this corner, but it is your united community that will make it a reality and that will bring it to life," said Mayor Pencho Milkov.

The mayor of the village Muzhgyan Khalilova also thanked Penka Peeva who supported the idea and donated additional funds for the center.

The place has 3 main rooms. The spacious hall will give children and parents the opportunity to celebrate together on different occasions. On colder days the little ones can play in the new playground. A kitchenette and new sanitary facilities are provided.

"It was an absolutely uninhabited place, but with our joint efforts the dream of the mothers in the village came true," added Khalilova.

The municipal programme, which funds the project, allows small settlements to implement their own ideas each year up to a certain amount, depending on the population. Thus, in 2021, a pensioners' club was built in the village, and sports and children's playgrounds were constructed in other settlements, rehabilitation of central areas and other improvement works were carried out.
