On February 19, representatives of the Bulgarian communities in Romania gathered in '' King Mihai I '' National Park in Bucharest to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Vasil Levski's death. A wreath in memory of the national hero was presented by the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Encho Enchev.
"I am proud that every year the Bulgarian community gathers here, and I am convinced that through this tradition we contribute to the fact that every next generation not only remembers but lives with the thought of Levski's feat," said the deputy mayor.
The commemorative ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Romania H. E. Radko Vlajkov, students from the Bulgarian school "Yordan Yovkov" at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Bucharest, as well as the secretary of the folk community centre "Hristo Botev - 1908" in Ruse together with members of the institution.
A memorial service was held in memory of the Apostle.
The attendees laid wreaths in front of the monument to Levski and then in front of the monument to Hristo Botev, which is also located in ''King Mihai I'' Park.
