District Information Center presented the Concept of Integrated Territorial Investments

The District Information Center – Ruse held a public discussion in the Municipality of Ruse on the concepts that have passed administrative compliance and eligibility, which will be implemented on the territory of Ruse District. The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Zlatomira Stefanova, representatives of Ruse Municipality and Slivo Pole Municipality, RDE - Ruse, directors of vocational high schools, employees of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Protection of the Population - Ruse, representatives of the non-governmental sector, business and other stakeholders who were acquainted with the types of activities envisaged for implementation under the Concept of Integrated Territorial Investments (CITI). 

Concept "Implementation of an integrated territorial approach in Ruse Municipality" through a concept for integrated territorial investments in partnership with the Municipality of Slivo pole and Municipal Transport Ruse EAD" with leading partner Ruse Municipality includes 9 project ideas of three partners, including Ruse Municipality, Slivo pole Municipality and Municipal Transport Ruse LtD. It is envisaged that the funding will be provided by two programs – "Human Resources Development" 2021-2027 and "Regional Development" 2021-2027. The activities that are planned to be implemented are the construction of a Multifunctional Center for Children and Young People from Vulnerable Groups, the purchase of 2 environmentally friendly electric buses to serve the Ruse-Giurgiu line, the overhaul of the Nikolovo-Chervena Voda road, construction of a complex panoramic bicycle route with infrastructure for tourist attractions "EuroVelo6ˮ, construction of a replica of a Roman tomb mausoleum in the land of the village of Babovo, Slivo pole municipality, complete renovation of the building of the ''Ruse Art Gallery'', creation and promotion of a common cultural and historical tourist product "Culture, Nature and History - Ruse - Slivo pole" and improvement of a green recreation area and renovation of a sports field and a children's playground in an inter-block space in Charodeyka district in Ruse. The total value of all investments is BGN 29 759 000.

Complete renovation of the building of the Ruse Art Gallery, creation and promotion of a common cultural and historical tourist product "Culture, Nature and History - Ruse - Slivo pole" and improvement of a green recreation area and renovation of a sports field and a children's playground in an inter-block space in Ruse district. In the concept "United Community for Integrated Development of the Territories Dve Mogili, Ivanovo, Ruse", where the candidate is the Association "Development of Social Capital", is envisaged the construction of a Tourist Information Center "Orlova Chuka", organizing an eco festival, promoting the museum house of Filip Totyu, creating a new tourist cycle route "On the way of soldier monuments in the municipality of Ruse, Ivanovo and Dve Mogili", organizing a festival "Children of Polomieto - Feast under the monastery", as well as an international ethno festival of the ''Dolma''. Under the ''Education'' Program, the association will develop dual training in vocational education in four schools in Ruse – the Vocational School of Transport, the Vocational School of Woodworking and Interior Architecture "Joseph Vondrak", the Vocational School of Industrial Technologies "Atanas Ts. Burov" and the Vocational High School of River Shipbuilding and Shipping.

The concept also provides for the integration of marginalized communities such as Roma by supporting improving access to employment and countering discrimination and measures to overcome negative stereotypes and attitudes in the communities of the municipalities of Dve Mogili and Ivanovo. The total value of all investments is BGN 2 567 850.
Concept "National Concept for the Establishment of Major Points for Response Management in the Event of a Large-Scale Seismic Disaster" with candidate the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Protection of the Population - Ministry of Interior has set for implementation two activities on the territory of the North Central Region. The first activity will carry out architectural surveying and inspection of the buildings covered by the project, and the second will make structural and seismic reinforcement and introduce energy efficiency measures for buildings. For Ruse this is the building of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Protection of the Population - Ministry of Interior on  Blvd. "Bulgaria" 300. The value of the investment for the North Central Region is 34 973 252 BGN.
During the public discussion, the attendees expressed their approval, as well as opinions on the beneficial effect of the implementation of the concept. They will be summarized in a report and presented to the broad composition of the Regional Development Council, which will take them into account before approving the general programming concept for the North Central Region and drawing up the prioritized list of implementation concepts.
