Pencho Milkov awarded the Ruse boxer Radoslav Rosenov for winning the "Strandja Cup" 2024

"On my behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Ruse, thank you for returning the "Strandja Cup" to where it belongs – in your native Ruse, for the third year in a row."

With these words, Mayor Pencho Milkov welcomed in his cabinet the competitor of Boxing Club "Ruse" Radoslav Rosenov. He awarded the athlete for his success in February, when the young citizen of Ruse won the gold medal in the category up to 63. 5 kg. at the 75th edition of the International Boxing Tournament "Strandja Cup". This is the third award for the boxer, who is also a two-time European champion for men up to 22 years.

The coach of the boxer – Sabi Sabev, with whose help the athlete achieved success in the ring both in Bulgaria and abroad, was also honored with a congratulatory address. Pencho Milkov also honored the Executive Director of ''Ruse'' Boxing Club Iliya Syarov for his overall activity, which helped to develop many Ruse talents.

Radoslav Rosenov shared about the difficulties he went through to adorn himself with another victory. The athlete outlined as his next goals the European Championship in Belgrade, Serbia, and the upcoming quota for participation in the Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris this summer. The Ruse boxer hopes to present Ruse and Bulgaria with dignity at the most important sporting event, as well as to reach the top of the podium without injuries.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality Borislav Rachev, the Director of MP "Sports Properties" Lachezar Ivanov, the President and the member of the Management Board of the boxing club Pavel Syarov and Ivan Dimitrov.
