Drama theatres in Ruse and Bitola will cooperate in an international project

''Sava Ognyanov'' Drama Theatre and ''Naroden Teater'' - Bitola, Republic of North Macedonia, will collaborate in a major international project. This was agreed by the directors of the two institutes Boyan Ivanov and Ivan Yercic.

The idea for participation in the project arose a week ago during Boyan Ivanov's visit to Bitola, the Republic of North Macedonia, where he was part of the audience at the premiere of the play "Uncle Vanyo". The visit of the director of the Ruse theatre took place after an invitation from the director Sofia Ristevska, who visited the Ruse stage last autumn with her stand-up comedy during the Night of Theatres.

At a working meeting, the two directors discussed the first steps for a joint co-production between the two theatres, which they will apply for.

The intentions for the joint project were welcomed by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia, Bisera Kostadinovska - Stoychevska. The Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality Encho Enchev also expressed the full support of the local administration for the joint cooperation. This became clear during a working meeting attended by Boyan Ivanov and the director and deputy director of "Naroden Teatar - Bitola" - Ivan Jercic and Aleksandar Mitrovski.
