European boxing champion Sevda Assenova received a statuette of Ruse

Mayor Pencho Milkov awarded the European boxing champion in the category up to 48 kg. Sevda Assenova. She received a cash prize and a statuette with the symbol of Ruse - the Monument of Freedom.
At the championship in Budva, Montenegro, the athlete from Boxing Club "Ruse" showed excellent technique and won with 5:0 judges' votes over the Italian Roberta Bonatti.
The athlete said that she feels in great shape and the experience helps her a lot because she knows her opponents very well and she has already met most of them.
Since 2016, Sevdah has been playing with torn ligaments in her foot, but that hasn't been a deterrent to the agility and power with which she has dominated athletes around the world.
"You are a great pride for Ruse and you deservedly won the title. Be always so inspiring", Mayor Pencho Milkov welcomed her.
He also expressed his gratitude to the coaches Sabi Sabev and Pavel Syarov for their unconditional support to Sevda and the other athletes in the club.
