A plant for production and assembly of automotive components for electric vehicles will be built in Ruse. The investment of 60m euros will be used to finance the construction of a new gas pipeline. GG Group (Gebauer & Griller), a supplier of cables and cable harnesses, plans to create about 100 jobs, with a 13,000-square-foot facility planned to be built by the end of 2023. m in the Eastern Industrial Zone. The decision to open production facilities in Ruse was reached after several months of research and working meetings with the local authorities, in which the close cooperation with the Head of the Office for Trade and Economy at the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Munich Stefan Yonkov played a decisive role.
After completing all procedural steps, today the investment of GG Group was officially announced at a meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Industry. It was chaired by Minister Bogdan Bogdanov and was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality Zlatomira Stefanova, the Executive Director of the company Arno Hasselhorst and the Vice President Matthias Hornemann.
Minister Bogdanov assured the representatives of the Austrian company that the state and the local authorities in the face of Ruse Municipality will continue to assist in all aspects in the implementation of the project.
During the talks, the key moments of the future business commitment were discussed, taking into account the infrastructure connectivity by land and water of the region, as well as the opportunities for cargo flights that Ruse Airports will soon offer.
According to CEO Arnaud Hasselhorst, GG Group will invest in Bulgaria to meet the immediate need of the company's customers for additional production capacity in an economically attractive and politically stable region. According to him, Ruse is distinguished by its favorable geographical location in close proximity to the Romanian border, good indicators of demographic conditions and potential for future expansions.
At the launch of its activities, the new plant will have a clear product focus on high-voltage e-mobility cables for reputable European car manufacturers, and it is not excluded that the company will expand into other segments in its further development.
