Mayor Pencho Milkov awarded the swimming champions from  swimming club "Iris" Ruse

The Mayor of Ruse Municipality Pencho Milkov met with the swimmers from swimming club "Iris", who returned from the European Ice Swimming Championship in Oradia, Romania, where they won 2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals. Ivan Hristov, Tony Anastasov and Mihail Danev were honored by the mayor with a congratulatory address and a cash prize as a sign of gratitude to the work and efforts they make.

"Once again you prove that you are capable, fighting and know how to win in extreme conditions and in strong competition. With your success in the icy Romanian waters, you have once again shown Ruse and Bulgaria the high class of preparation in your club, the strength of spirit and the will to win, "said the mayor. The graduates of swimming club"Iris" won their awards by swimming in water with a temperature of 0 to 5 degrees. Pencho Milkov expressed special gratitude to their coach Pavel Todorov.

The swimmers shared interesting details of their sports training, which they manage to combine with the learning process.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality Encho Enchev and the Director of ME "Sports Properties" Lachezar Ivanov.
